Our UCO: The Ideal Connection
The personalized customer experience thrives on a large number of "touchpoints" - always providing the customer with the right information at the right time via the most suitable channel. To ensure this, systems, processes and services (card integration, portals, shelf recognition, business card scanners, etc.) need to be increasingly networked. Additional interfaces mean more costs and additional maintenance. In addition, the speed at which new requirements can be implemented in existing environments often slows down. We help you with the Universal Connector Online - UCO to organize your interfaces, simplify them and make them more flexible.
SYNERGY offers with the UCO a modern technology with which different systems and applications can be connected in a uniform and agile way. Less risk and more security: The solution requires only ONE activation in the firewall!
The UCO already offers interfaces to applications, which are constantly being expanded. At the same time, the connector is lean and it can be implemented quickly for the specific individual case - at the same time, it has everything to be the central "hub" for all your CRM interactions.
Thus "UCO" stands for universal use (=Universal), for the connection of systems and applications (=Connector) and process-supporting exchange (=Online).
- Reduce complexity with only a single endpoint for 1+n interfaces.
- Relieve IT and reduce costs for interfaces.
- More security: TLS/SSL communication, accesses via RFC 7235.
- Modern + secure technology with diagnostic functions.
- Operated in German data center.
REQUIREMENTS for modern architectures
The growing shift of processes to digitalized workflows requires the systems used to be increasingly open. At the same time, any further opening to the outside world is also a potential security risk.
For example, if a CRM system is to be connected to a platform, an active component is required for this. Even if the CRM system in question offers an active component - which is currently only the case in the rarest of cases - an integration must be created and a corresponding service connected. Since this usually involves leaving the customer's own network, it is necessary to release the corresponding services (ports) in the company firewall.
Another challenge for the IT infrastructure is the integration of cloud services. CRM, for example, is often operated in the cloud instead of being installed within the company's own network. The advantages of availability and easy access for field staff are the decisive criteria here.
However, the connection of other applications is often limited. The cloud providers only provide interfaces to "preferred" other applications. Often, these are also cloud-based products.
With the Universal Connector Online platform, the goal was to only have to provide a single endpoint for customers to connect their services. This reduces complexity and costs while increasing security for the internal network. There is now only a single trusted endpoint for the security systems (including the firewall).
If you now connect not just one service - but several - this means either allowing different services for the internal network or even having to operate an integration solution for these different services.
Connectors
Lively CRM world. Classic ERP integration (evergreen) alongside modern requirements.
The UCO thrives on its plugins.
OCR recognition business cards
Our first developed plugin. It is used to transfer a business card photo to an OCR recognition. The photo is then transferred to the service and the read information is transferred back to the CRM system.
Salesforce
We have built an interactive interface for various data objects. Objects such as accounts, contacts, products, orders, quotes, invoices and many more can be exchanged between Salesforce and the target system and the processes run more automated and fluently.
SAP
The connector exchanges iDocs with the UCO. As a rule, this is data from invoicing, business partners. For the sales process quite crucial is also the integration of pricing, which is "extended" SAP to the field service.
Aurea
AS WITH SALESFORCE we have built an interactive interface to various data objects. Objects such as accounts, contacts, products, orders, quotations, invoices, etc. can be exchanged between Salesforce and the target system and the processes run automatically and more smoothly.
Sugar CRM
AS WITH SALESFORCE we have built an interactive interface to various data objects. Objects such as accounts, contacts, products, orders, quotations, invoices, etc. can be exchanged between Salesforce and the target system and the processes run automatically and more smoothly.
m-soft
Specialized ERP solutions can also be connected via the UCO. The connector for the industry solution m-Soft includes customers, offers, products, orders, invoices, etc.
Technical Solution
The Universal Connector Online is run on a server system in the Strato cloud administered by SYNERGY and runs on a secured Linux system.
In order to achieve the highest possible efficiency, we decided to rely on Python programming language.
This way SYNERGY achieves a maximum of integration possibilities while maintaining high performance and security.
The security concept is based on the following building blocks:
- Communication exclusively via TLS/SSL
- Access exclusively authenticated via RFC 7235
- exclusively long passwords (min. 28 characters) with high entropy (min. 140 bits)
The solution is based on a core component that handles the communication and configuration of various plugins. The respective service-oriented plugins can be used by different customers. There is a strict separation of individual communication processes, so that data protection and data security are always guaranteed.
This architecture also offers the option of developing and integrating customer-specific plug-ins.
